[ARCHIVED] NewVue Communities Announcing Office Hours At City Hall

On Tue. Sept. 11th NewVue Communities will begin providing individual technical assistance to Gardner residents starting new businesses.  Office hours will be every Tues. from 9 to 11:00 a.m. in Gardner City Hall Annex, 2nd Floor in the Hubbard Conference Room, Room 203.  If you need assistance with starting or growing your small business, call or email Ray Belanger, Director of Small Business Assistance - (978) 400-0169 or rbelanger@nvcomm.org.  Spanish translation services are available upon request.


Description of the Small Business Assistance Program

NewVue Communities has provided technical assistance support to businesses operating in a number of different industry sectors and range from small grocery markets to accounting consulting firms.  Our program focuses mainly on micro-enterprises (businesses with 5 or fewer employees) and very small businesses (businesses with 20 and fewer employees) and is supported in part by the City of Gardner CDBG Program.


The Small Business Assistance Program offers:


One-on-One Technical Assistance:

Business counseling is available for help on how to start a business, write a business plan, and improve marketing strategies and connecting with potential local funding sources like banks and other financial institutions. 


Business Seminar Series:

We host a series of seminars throughout the year with a concentration of offerings in Spring and Fall.  Seminars are targeted to small businesses that need help to create oro retain jobs or are located in disadvantaged communities.


Credit Initiative:

We worth with small businesses to help them access the best available credit that they can access.


During the last eight (2010-2017) our Small Business Assistance Program has worked with 828 businesses to:

*Create or Retain 1,589 jobs and

*Facilitated small business loans totaling $7,500,085
