The Gardner Veteran's Council has voted to again hold the annual Veteran's Day exercises indoors at the Gardner High School auditorium on Saturday, November 11, 2017 @ 11:00 AM at Gardner High School's Landry Auditorium. This will make it more comfortable for participants and spectators alike, in case of inclement weather. The council hopes for a large turnout. There will be plenty of seating for everyone.
The veterans will march from the outer hall into the main hall. The exercises will begin promptly at 11:00 AM with the sounding of eleven gongs of the bell, signifying the eleventh hour, the eleventh day and the eleventh month, when Armistice was signed, at the end of WWI. This is the 99th anniversary of that historical event.
