GMS Parents, Guardians, & Students:

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year at GMS. These newsletters will be sent out weekly, via Plusportals and posted on the GMS website and the GMS Facebook page. Our newsletters contain information about upcoming events, dates to be aware of, new initiatives and celebrations. We look forward to celebrating a great year with all of our GMS families.

September’s dates to be aware of:

September 3- No school (Labor day holiday)                

September 6- No school (Labor Day)

September 29- Half-day Professional development 

                  (10:30 am dismissal)


Band and Chorus

We are exploring bringing back Band and Chorus to GMS. Any student who is interested in participating in Band or Chorus should complete the Google form linked below.

Technology    

All GMS students received new Chromebooks this week. These Chromebooks will remain assigned to them until they reach Grade 9, when new devices will be issued. If your student is having difficulty with the Chromebook, or any of the programs we use at GMS, there is help available.

GMS Student Council

We are planning and starting Student Council the week of September 13th. In order to do so, we will need all interested students to fill out the following form by Friday, September 3rd. Any questions regarding the student council or the process for joining can be sent to Jinnee (strusj@gardnerk12.org) or myself (niemank@gardnerk12.org). Please share this form with your advisory/A block as early as you can next week:
