  2. Voter Registration Session for the City Preliminary

    September 18, 2019, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM @ City Clerk's Office, Room 121

    The Board of Registrars of Voters will conduct a voter registration session on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the City Clerk’s Office, Room 121, City Hall to enroll new voters for the October 8, 2019 City Preliminary. This is the last day to register in order to be eligible to vote in the Preliminary. Every citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on or before October 8, 2019 and is a resident in the City and has not previously registered, may register at the above session. Recently naturalized citizens who have not previously registered may register at the above session. Citizens may also register daily at the City Clerk’s Office from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday or by utilizing the Mail-in Official Voter Registration Form or registering online at the Secretary of State’s website at until the final date for registration.

  8. AccuVote Computer Balloting Program Testing

    In accordance with the provisions of 950 CMR §54.02, the City Clerk will conduct a test of the City’s Accu-Vote computer balloting program on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 beginning at 8:00 A.M. in the City Council Chamber, Room 219, City Hall. The testing is open to the public. The test shall incorporate a “test deck” of optical scanner ballots for the October 8, 2019 City Preliminary, marked in such a way as to adequately test the computer program; demonstrate rejection of overvoted ballots; and test any other contents of the program which may have a bearing upon the accuracy of the count.
