Are you concerned about your child’s development? Can you understand his/her speech? Does he/she appear confused or unable to understand you? Do friends and family ask you what your child is saying? Does he/she appear to be uncoordinated when walking, running, jumping, or just playing on a playground? Is he/she fearful of trying new play activities? Did your child achieve all the developmental milestones in a timely manner?
If you are concerned about any of the above questions, you may want to have your child screened. The Gardner Public School District will be scheduling a Preschool Screening for children ages 3 – 5, once a month during the months of October thru May at Gardner Elementary School. You must be a resident of Gardner. You can reach out through phone or email and we will get in contact with you to set up a screening.
The Gardner Public School District provides an Integrated Preschool/Prekindergarten Program specifically designed for children who may be eligible to receive special education services. Please call Virginia Jepson, Director of Early Childhood at (978) 991-0900 ext. 33121. or Jepsonv@gardnerk12.org for an appointment.
