Senior Transportation with MART

In partnership with Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (MART), the Gardner Senior Center provides rides for seniors aged sixty or above and/or those with a documented disability who reside in Gardner. Once you are registered (one time only) via the Gardner Senior Center, you call MART directly to schedule your in-town Gardner trips at 1-800- 922-5636 X 3. MART requires 24 hour notice for scheduling and please remember to register by calling the Gardner Senior Center at 978-630-4067. MART has many transport options, but this particular service for seniors runs on weekdays only. For other options, call MART directly. 

Senior Transportation with the CAC

The Gardner Community Action center provides rides for seniors aged sixty or above for medical transportation. Services are available to Gardner seniors Tuesday-Friday, typically from 8am until 4:30pm. Appointments for transportation to medical appointments must be made well in advance. A contribution based on the location of the ride is requested. This service reaches as far as Worcester and Concord but does not serve the Boston Area. Please call the CAC at 978-632-8700 for more information to schedule your ride. 

MART ADA Para-Transit Services

The Montachusett Area Regional Transit Authority provides curbside transportation for seniors who are disabled. The ADA Para-Transit Service Program:
  • Is for people who cannot use the regular MART bus for some or all of their trips;
  • Is an origin to destination service for ADA eligible customers;
  • Operates on the same days of the week and hours of the day in the same areas as the regular fixed route bus;
  • Is a shared ride service;
  • Operates in compliance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations

Senior Transportation with GAAMHA

GAAMHA's transportation department offers full service, door to door transportation to individuals of all ages, and private and public businesses. They accommodate most needs including those that are handicapped, physically challenged, elderly and the visually and hearing challenged. GAAMHA Transportation is FEE FOR SERVICE and may be eligible for insurance payment/reimbursement. Call 978-632-0934 for more information. 

GAAMHA is able to provide services seven days a week, 24 hours a day to meet your travel/scheduling needs. Services include but are not limited to the various services listed below:
  • Work
  • Shopping
  • Recreational
  • Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
  • Other Special Occasions

Veteran's Transportation through Montachusett Veteran's Outreach Center

The Montachusett Veteran's Outreach Center provides transportation to veteran's hospitals and clinics. Appointments are required and the service is on an as available basis. Please contact the Montachusett Veteran's Outreach Center for more information at 978-632-9601.
