The Gardner Health Department strives to provide a safe and sanitary environment for the residents of Gardner.

The Health Department sponsors flu immunization clinics for Gardner residents in the Fall and rabies immunization clinics for cats and dogs in the spring. The department is also a regional distribution center for vaccines to area physicians and hospitals.
The Health Department operates the Gardner Transfer Station and helps to oversee curbside collection of trash and recyclables. Gardner has one of the highest recycling rates in Massachusetts-43%.
