City Council Minutes 12/06/2010-Public Hearing Laitinen/Brookside Dr Acceptance

Monday evening, December 6, 2010.  Public Hearing of the City Council held in the Council Chambers, City Hall.~ Hearing called to order by President Neil W. Janssens at 7:00 o’clock p.m.

Present:  President Neil Janssens and Councillors Alice Anderson, Henry Ares, David Boudreau, Joshua Cormier, Ronald Cormier and Edward Gravel.

Absent:  Councillors Patrick Gerry, Scott Graves, James Minns and James Robinson, Jr.

President Janssens opened the Public Hearing on Acceptance of Laitinen Drive at 7:00 p.m. by reading aloud the following:

The City Council is conducting this Public Hearing on accepting as a public way a portion of Laitinen Drive commencing at the intersection with Halford Street for a distance of approximately 690 feet terminating at a cul-de-sac.

He called for persons wishing to speak in favor.

SPEAKING IN FAVOR:      Ward 2 Councillor David Boudreau, representing Laitinen Drive.

        Robert Hubbard, Director, Community Development & Planning, on behalf of the Planning Board.    

He called for persons wishing to speak in opposition.

SPEAKING IN OPPOSITION:  None.                          

President Janssens declared the Hearing on Acceptance of Laitinen Drive closed at 7:02 p.m.

President Janssens opened the Public Hearing on Acceptance of Brookside Drive at 7:02 p.m. by reading aloud the following:

The City Council is conducting this Public Hearing on accepting as a public way a portion of Brookside Drive commencing at the intersection with Century Way for a distance of approximately 2464 feet terminating just prior to the bridge over Wilder Brook.

He called for persons wishing to speak in favor.

SPEAKING IN FAVOR:      Ward 2 Councillor David Boudreau, representing Brookside Drive.

        Robert Hubbard, Director, Community Development & Planning, on behalf of the Planning Board.

        Ward 3 Councillor Edward Gravel.        

He called for persons wishing to speak in opposition.

SPEAKING IN OPPOSITION: None.                   

President Janssens declared the Hearing closed at 7:05 p.m.
