Monday evening, August 17, 2009. Joint Public Hearing of the City Council and Planning Board held in the Council Chambers, City Hall.~ Hearing called to order by President Janssens at 6:00 o’clock p.m.
Roll call taken – Eight Councillors present (Councillors Anderson, Ares, Boudreau, J. Cormier, Dembrosky, Graves, Minns, President Janssens), three absent (Councillors R. Cormier, Jaillet and Robinson). Three Planning Board members present (Chairman Allen Gross, Robert Bettez, and Mark Shafron), two absent (Laura Casker and Peter Sabettini). Robert L. Hubbard, Community Development & Planning Director, was also present.

NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING BOARD
In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 40A, Section 5, M.G.L., the City Council and Planning Board will hold a Joint Public Hearing on Monday evening, August 17, 2009 at 6:00 o’clock p.m., in the Council Chambers, City Hall to consider amending Zoning Ordinance Section 415 (64) TABLE OF USES, within Industrial 1 and Industrial 2 Districts, as follows:

SPEAKING IN FAVOR: Robert L. Hubbard, Community Development & Planning Director, stated the Planning Board voted to recommend the change in the Ordinance to promote local and State biotechnology interests. He added that one local company would benefit by the change, and stated Board of Health Director Bernie Sullivan is also in favor.
SPEAKING IN OPPOSITION: None.
On motion made by Councillor R. Cormier, seconded by Councillor Anderson, it was voted 10 yeas, 1 absent (Councillor Robinson) to adjourn at 6:02 o’clock p.m.
