The Department of Engineering furnishes engineering services and technical advice to the departments of Public Works and Community Development, Planning Board, and other City officials on matters relating to public and private construction projects. It's primary responsibility is to develop and maintain the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS). The Department of Engineering also maintains custody of plans of streets, sanitary sewers, water mains, storm drains, sidewalks, bridges, dams, and other facilities owned by the City, as well as the Assessor’s maps of individual land parcels, and their updates on an annual basis. The Department of Engineering has created digital maps utilizing GIS (Geographic Information Systems). The following GIS maps are available for download. You may purchase printed color copies or a copy on CD in the Engineering office. |
