Assessor's Office
Welcome to the City of Gardner Assessor's office
The City of Gardner Assessor's office has provided this information as a service to the taxpayers of the City of Gardner.
Role of Assessor's office
The Board of Assessors is required to assess all real and personal property within the confines of the City, at full, fair cash value. The State Department of Revenue requires the City to update values every three years. However, annual adjustments may be necessary if market studies indicate a sharp increase or decrease in value.
In addition, the Assessor's office provides answers and/or abatements regarding motor vehicle excise tax issues.
If a taxpayer wishes to review and/or print the field card for their property, they may log on to:
www.visionappraisal.com - Another helpful site for the taxpayer would be:
www.masslandrecords.com if you wish to print your own deed.
If you do not have access to a computer, you may get a copy of your field card and/or deed for a nominal fee.
Abatements
All taxpayers have the right to file for an abatement of their taxes if they believe that their property has not been fairly valued. Information regarding applications and deadlines to file for abatements is printed on tax bills. Applicants should present compelling evidence to support their claim of overvaluation.
Exemptions
Exemptions are available to those individuals that meet the various requirements in the following categories:
Over 70 (must be 70 before July 1st)

Disabled veteran (10% or more service-connected disability)
