CONSERVATION COMMISSION MEETING

Announcement - Any person may make a video or audio recording of an open session of a meeting, or may transmit the meeting through any medium, subject to reasonable requirements of the Chair as to the number, placement and operation of equipment used so as not to interfere with the conduct of the meeting.~ Any person intending to make such recording shall notify the Chair forthwith. All Documents referenced or used during the meeting must be submitted in duplicate to the Conservation Agent for the Conservation Commission. All documents shall become part of the official record of the meeting.

Old Business
Doug Pochini contacted the Agent to inquire about leaving the unclean fill on the West Street GGCDC project near Suomi Road until spring. After consulting with Commission member, G. Dumas, the Agent informed D. Pochini that the unclean fill needs to be removed immediately and the disturbed area needs to be stabilized until grass can be planted in the spring.
New Business
Keith Morris, representing Pan Am Railways, Inc., submitted a Request for Determination of Applicability on December 13, 2010. After repeated attempts to contact him, he has not set up an account with The Gardner News to pay for publication of the meeting notice that is required by law. The Request cannot be processed until the account is set up.
The Commission received two copies of the Trail Inventory Report for the City of Gardner, prepared by the Montachusett Regional Planning Commission (MRPC).
Instructions on applying for a Certificate of Compliance at 266 Betty Spring Road were given to David Laperriere.
The Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program has officially certified a vernal pool in the vicinity of Sapphire Park off Shawn Avenue in Gardner.
The Agent is requesting approval to spend $95.00 to attend the MACC Annual Environmental Conference on March 5 at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
