On Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the GHS Baseball Boosters will hold a recycling event at the Gardner High School Parking Lot to benefit the Varsity, JV, Freshmen and Middle School teams.
This new effort is one designed to benefit the community while raising much needed funds for the program. “People don’t realize that you cannot just take your old electrical items to the dump any more”, said Club President Fran Kondrotas. “For a small fee folks can bring them down to the event site or call for pick up. They will be recycling their old items while supporting the baseball program!”
Items accepted include unwanted TVs, computers, cell phones, monitors, printers, electronics, metal appliances, small kitchen and household appliances such as blenders, microwaves, table fans, VCRs... Anything with a plug is accepted! Examples of cost include:
13” TV: $10, 25-27” TV: $20, Ink Jet Printer: $5, Laser Printer: $10, Laptops: $5-10
