Health Advisory

Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 (now over 9%) in our community and the impending holiday gatherings threatening to further increase positivity in our area, the Gardner Board of Health has put forth an advisory for residents and businesses in Gardner to strongly consider wearing masks indoors in public places.

Businesses are encouraged to post signage such as “mask wearing appreciated” and offer free masks to patrons. While vaccination does prevent most hospitalizations and deaths due to COVID-19, it is still possible for vaccinated people to contract and transmit COVID-19 to others. Masks will deter the spread of severe infections in our community to avoid overwhelming our healthcare resources.
